On the ground!

I got the mounts finally tacked in.  With some help from Ben we got the car lowered down the ground last night on some compact spare tires.  They are shorter than the tires that i plan to use, buy about 3-3.5" so the car will still be VERY low but not quite as low as pictured.

Wile sitting i can reach over the side of he car and touch the GROUND!  WHOA!

Yup its really going to be that small!!

Im off to pack up the garage some more for the move.

I have been working on the car in preparation to move into a new house.  So i have been working on finishing up the motor mounts, assembling the rear end (again).  I've also been working on the transmission mounts.  I've got them very close, just need to pick up some bolts and then weld the mount in and the drive line will be set.  Not much to see yet.  Not much will happen for the next few months.  I have to start to pack up the garage, finishing the house, and then undo all of that. YIKES

I will need to transform the new "parking garage" into a workshop.  But hey at least this garage floor will have a cement floor not asphalt!  That is a PITA to keep clean, nothing stays level and anything over 17lbs sinks into the floor, creating a permanent divet in the floor.  Right now it only has very simple wiring and zero insulation.  So i will need run all new wiring, insulation, and OSB on the walls, also painting the walls.  I will also be adding 220v electric to the garage, lots of lights, recessed speakers in the ceiling to save floor space.  Not only does it have to be a work shop it has to be comfortable.

I will be posting pics when we finally close on the place.
